3 IMPORTANT TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL INTERVIEW
Job interviews are often quite
terrifying to the amateur interviewee or even to one who has been through the
wine press a few times. Lightening the tension is crucial to appearing
confident and composed, so here are a few extra tips to help you stay in
control.
1.
Dress appropriately and speak professionally
Appearance and conservatism is
everything in an interview. Dress well, look clean, maintain good posture,
practice eye contact, and speak professionally. Be careful that your answers do
not go beyond sixty seconds. You should know exactly what kind of occupation
you are applying for and sell yourself to the employer.
2.
Relax
Future employers can sense fear and
a lack of confidence; neither is helpful in an interview. Try practicing
anticipated questions in the mirror or with a friend to prepare. Always arrive
early and organized. If you are to be late, simply phone the company.
Punctuality is a must.
3.
Pay attention to your manners
Finally, remember your manners. If
it is not something that you would do in a formal meeting with an advisor or
senior, do not do it. This includes chewing gum, interruptions, being
disrespectful or insulting, or bringing up controversial topics.
Remember the basics and know whom
you are dealing with to guarantee success. If you have any other important
tips, feel free to share them with us in the comments section.

7 STEPS TO FINANCIAL FREEDOM: A FORMULA FOR SUCCESS
One goal that we all have in common is that we all want to make more money.
However, only a small percentage of us actually achieve the financial freedom we long for…
We all want to have enough money so that we never have to worry about money again. The only question is, “Are you ready to do it or not?”
The good news is that there are more people achieving financial freedom faster today than ever before. Through proper financial planning and making it a goal to improve your personal finances, you can become one of them too.
According to my good friend John Assaraf and the leading neuroscience research, it can.
Here is a seven-point formula that you can use to help accumulate wealth, become happier, and achieve financial freedom in the years ahead.
Thinking negatively about money is an emotional obstacle that you must eliminate in order to achieve financial freedom. You must eliminate the thoughts that having more money leads to evil or that money can’t buy you happiness.
When you begin thinking positively about money, you will attract opportunities and open up more doors than you ever thought possible.
Rewrite and review your goals on paper every day and think of how you could accomplish them. This will take you between five and ten minutes. The very act of writing and rewriting your goals, and thinking about them each morning before you start off, will increase your chances of accomplishing them.
The very act of planning each day, each week, and each month in advance will make you far sharper and more precise at everything you do. You will find yourself with better focus and a greater sense of self-control and personal power when you work from a list.
When you plan every day in advance you will be better able to control and track your spending habits as well. Plan how much you have to spend for the week, the month, the year and decide where you will be able to save.
The principle of concentration is absolutely essential to achieve financial freedom. Virtually everything you do in terms of goal setting and financial planning is aimed at enabling you to determine the one or two things that you should concentrate on more than anything else.
Your ability to develop the habit of concentration will do more to ensure your personal finance success than perhaps any other skill or habit you can acquire.
The things you focus the most on and spend the most time doing should be in direct alignment with your financial goals. Spend your time focused on what will make you the most money.
Purchase courses on money management, read books on personal finance, and find articles online about money.
Very soon you will have so much knowledge in the area of money that people will come to you for advice.
By reviewing your performance immediately after every meeting, sales call, and presentation, you will become better and better, faster than you can imagine.
The answers to both of these questions are positive.
By reviewing what you did right and what you would do differently next time, you program into your mind a predisposition to be even better the next time out.
If you take a few minutes and write down everything you did right and everything you would do differently immediately after a call or presentation, you can double and triple the speed at which you learn and grow and improve in your work.
Improving yourself and your quality of work will, in effect, improve the money you make.
Since everybody believes that he or she is the most important person in the world, when you treat them as if they were, they appreciate your recognition and acknowledgment more than you can imagine.
It is a proven fact that being a more generous person will help you attract more wealth and become a happier person.
We’ve often heard it said, ‘money doesn’t buy happiness’.
But, the truth is that:
So, by choosing to focus on money goals that motivate you, while also embedding a positive mindset towards money, towards yourself, and life in general, you will help to achieve both increased wealth and happiness.
And when you get there – evidence clearly shows us that being generous with our money makes us happier – and richer!
However, only a small percentage of us actually achieve the financial freedom we long for…

Will More Money Make You Happy?
There is also the question of whether or not having more money will make you a happier person.According to my good friend John Assaraf and the leading neuroscience research, it can.
Here is a seven-point formula that you can use to help accumulate wealth, become happier, and achieve financial freedom in the years ahead.
1. Begin to Think Positively About Money
Part of becoming rich involves thinking positively about money.Thinking negatively about money is an emotional obstacle that you must eliminate in order to achieve financial freedom. You must eliminate the thoughts that having more money leads to evil or that money can’t buy you happiness.
When you begin thinking positively about money, you will attract opportunities and open up more doors than you ever thought possible.
2. Rewrite Your Major Goals For Financial Freedom
Set financial goals for yourself.Rewrite and review your goals on paper every day and think of how you could accomplish them. This will take you between five and ten minutes. The very act of writing and rewriting your goals, and thinking about them each morning before you start off, will increase your chances of accomplishing them.
3. Plan Every Day In Advance
Plan every day in advance. The best time to do this is the night before.
4. The Principle Of Concentration
Concentrate single-mindedly, every hour of every day, on the most valuable use of your time.
5. Invest in Yourself
Listen to audio programs in your car. The average person spends 500 to 1,000 hours per year behind the wheel. By turning your car into a university on wheels, you can become one of the most knowledgeable and most skilled people in your profession.Purchase courses on money management, read books on personal finance, and find articles online about money.
Very soon you will have so much knowledge in the area of money that people will come to you for advice.
6. Ask Yourself These Magic Questions
Ask yourself the two “Magic Questions” after every meeting and every event of importance in your life. The first question is, “What did I do right?” And the second question is, “What would I do differently, next time?”By reviewing your performance immediately after every meeting, sales call, and presentation, you will become better and better, faster than you can imagine.
The answers to both of these questions are positive.
By reviewing what you did right and what you would do differently next time, you program into your mind a predisposition to be even better the next time out.

Improving yourself and your quality of work will, in effect, improve the money you make.
7. Be Generous to Others
The final point is to treat everyone you meet like a million-dollar customer. Treat every single person, at home and at work, as if they were the most important person in the world.Since everybody believes that he or she is the most important person in the world, when you treat them as if they were, they appreciate your recognition and acknowledgment more than you can imagine.
It is a proven fact that being a more generous person will help you attract more wealth and become a happier person.
We’ve often heard it said, ‘money doesn’t buy happiness’.
But, the truth is that:
- Money is essential to happiness.
- Material prosperity predicts life satisfaction,
- And the more economic status we achieve, the more we’ll feel satisfied with our life.
So, by choosing to focus on money goals that motivate you, while also embedding a positive mindset towards money, towards yourself, and life in general, you will help to achieve both increased wealth and happiness.
And when you get there – evidence clearly shows us that being generous with our money makes us happier – and richer!

5 BIGGEST PROBLEMS THE SCREEN GENERATION FACE
Today’s generation of young children
are exposed to or have access to the world through the Internet. They are
bombarded with video games, cell phones, iPads, and many have TVs in their
bedrooms.
We have all heard that excessive
screen time is not a good idea, and the American Academy of Pediatrics still
suggests limiting the amount of total screen time to 1-2 hours a day, and
discourage screen media exposure for children less than 2 years old.
Moreover, too much exposure to
screen time can interfere with learning, attention, and a child’s healthy
weight. What are some other problems that kids of the screen generation might
face? Below are some of the biggest ones:
1.
Sleep deprivation
The average child needs at least
10-12 hours of sleep each night to allow the body and brain to grow. Electronic
screens emit a “blue light” that the body interprets to be daylight. This
awakens the body which causes the child to be awake rather than sleepy at
bedtime. Lack of sleep affects the child’s health, learning, and attention
span.
2.
Obesity
Obesity in children is a national
concern. Sitting in front of video screens for hours at a time can cause weight
gain due to the lack of physical activity. This can lead to other health
concerns like diabetes and heart problems.
3.
Rewiring of the brain
The Internet has rewired our
children’s brains. They have come to expect instant gratification when texting
and using the Internet, and their thought patterns have been changed to meet
that expectation. This, in turn, has an effect on how they relate to the world
around them.
4.
Eyestrain, spine, and posture
Electronic devices give off blue and
violet light. Not only is vision affected, but the spine can be affected as
well. Chiropractors around the country are noticing an epidemic in spinal
issues of children and teens. “Text neck” has been reported in children who
tend to text a lot. These children complain of neck pain, back pain, and
headaches.
5.
Lack of parental supervision and control
The lack of parental supervision
leads to many other serious problems. When a child is not being supervised or
is allowed to have electronic freedom, they are exposed to an unsafe world.
Cyberbullying has become a recent
problem, and oftentimes parents are not even aware that this is going on.
Another concern is access to pornography and violence. If parents are not aware
of how easy it is to access those adult things, children are left extremely
vulnerable.
Technology is a part of our everyday
lives, and we know that hours of exposure to a video screen is not the best use
of our children’s time. It is our responsibility as adults to help the screen
generation learn to limit their time and avoid the many problems that they may
be exposed to.

HOW TO OVERCOME YOUR FEARS, GET UNSTUCK, AND FUEL YOUR SUCCESS
What scares you? Learning how to
overcome fears of failure can be challenging for everyone.
Fortunately, all fears are learned.
No one is born with fears. Fears can therefore, be unlearned by practicing
self-discipline repeatedly with regard to fear until it goes away.
The most common fears that we
experience, which often sabotage all hope for success, are the fear of failure,
poverty, and loss of money.
These fears cause people to avoid
risk of any kind and to reject opportunity when it is presented to them. They
are so afraid of failure that they are almost paralyzed when it comes to taking
any chances at all.
There are many other fears that
interfere with our happiness.
- People fear the loss of love or
- People fear the loss of their jobs and their financial security.
- People fear embarrassment or ridicule.
- People fear rejection and criticism of any kind.
- People fear the loss of respect or esteem of others.
These and many other fears hold us
back throughout life…
Here are a few techniques to help
you overcome your fears and fuel your success:
Fear
Paralyzes Action
The most common reaction in a fear
situation is the attitude of, “I can’t!”
This is the fear of failure that
stops us from taking action. It is experienced physically, starting in the pit
of your stomach.
When people are really afraid, their
mouth and throat go dry, their heart starts pounding. Sometimes they breathe
shallowly and their stomach churns.
These are all physical
manifestations of the inhibitive negative habit pattern, which we all
experience from time to time.
Fear
Shuts Our Brain Down
Whenever a person is in the grip of
fear, he feels like a deer caught in the headlights of a car. This fear
paralyzes action. It often shuts down the brain and causes the individual to
revert to the “fight-or-flight” reaction.
Fear is a terrible emotion that
undermines our happiness and can hold us back throughout our lives.
Visualize
Yourself as Unafraid
By visualizing yourself performing
with confidence and competence in an area where you are fearful, your visual
image will eventually be accepted by your subconscious mind as instructions for
your performance.
Your self-image, the way you see
yourself and think about yourself, is eventually altered by feeding your mind
these positive mental pictures of yourself performing at your best.
Practice
Acting “As If”
By using the “act as if” method, you
walk, talk, and carry yourself exactly as you would if you were completely
unafraid in a particular situation.
You stand up straight, smile, move
quickly and confidently, and in every respect act as if you already had the
courage that you desire.
Use
the Law of Reversibility
The Law of Reversibility says that
“If you feel a certain way, you will act in a manner consistent with that
feeling.”
But if you act in a manner
consistent with that feeling, even if you don’t feel it, the Law of
Reversibility will create the feeling that is consistent with your actions.
This is one of the greatest
breakthroughs in success psychology. You develop the courage you desire by
disciplining yourself repeatedly to do the thing you fear until that fear
eventually disappears—and it will.
Confront
Your Fears Immediately
Your ability to confront, deal with,
and act in spite of your fears is the key to happiness and success.
One of the best exercises you can
practice is to identify a person or situation in your life of which you are
afraid and resolve to deal with that fear situation immediately.
Do not allow it to make you unhappy
for another minute. Resolve to confront the situation or person and put the
fear behind you.
Move
Toward the Fear
When you identify a fear and
discipline yourself to move toward it, it grows smaller and more manageable.
What’s more, as your fears grow
smaller, your confidence grows. Soon, your fears lose their control over
you.
In contrast, when you back away from
a fear-inducing situation or person, your fear grows larger and larger.
Soon it dominates your thinking and
feeling, preoccupies you during the day, and often keeps you awake at night.
Deal
With the Fear Directly
The only way to deal with a fear is
to address it head-on.
Remind yourself that, “Denial” is
not a river in Egypt.
The natural tendency of many people
is to deny that they have a problem caused by fear of some kind. They’re afraid
of confronting it. In turn, it becomes a major source of stress, unhappiness,
and psychosomatic illness.
Be willing to deal with the
situation or person directly.
As Shakespeare said, “Take arms
against a sea of troubles, and in so doing, end them.”
When you force yourself to face any
fear-inducing situation in your life, your self-esteem goes up, your
self-respect increases, and your sense of personal pride grows.
You eventually reach the point in
life where you are not afraid of anything.
